Colourful Reflections

Heena Sahi (Dip.A.Th.)

Experience the palette of change with artful solutions.

My journey began with a career in pediatric rehab and physical therapy in India, but I soon discovered my passion for art.

Whenever I painted, I felt a sense of peace and clarity that helped me solve problems and reflect on life's big questions. This led me to explore art therapy, which I found to be a beautiful and healing process for myself and others. I pursued my dream and completed a diploma in art therapy from Health and Harmony Colleges and Renaissance Life Therapies in the UK, as well as a Certificate 4 in education support and a diploma in graphology from India.

I have also attended workshops on emotional intelligence and coping strategies, as I believe in the importance of personal growth and development. With my skills and experiences,

I hope to inspire others to explore their own passions and find healing through creativity.

Art Therapy

Art therapy is a marvellous tool which can be used when words are not enough to express

the thoughts , emotions and feelings .A person of any generation can work with an art

therapist to understand clearly and correctly the inner feelings and conflicts that cause them mental or physical stress and then employ the self-reflection achieved to find solutions to the

problems.

Thus simply the three steps of art therapy are creating the art , reflecting the art and then

connecting with the self-awareness and insights gained with the art creation.

When should you see an art therapist?

1. To identify the feelings that you cannot verbalise.

2. To develop healthy coping mechanism

3. To achieve focus and organise thoughts in positive perspective

4. To improve self esteem , awareness , self reflection

5. To share the inner feelings and conflicts in safe and non-judgemental surrounding

6. To identify and resolve emotional blocks and repressions.

7. To achieve spiritual and personal development

8. To increase positive communication with self and others

9. To get better at imagination and creativity

10. To understand your non verbal language by drawing and analysing images

Our Philosophy –

Draw when your mind is tricked.

We promote the healing power of art making.

If you were asked to draw a kitchen utensil , what would you choose , what would you draw

to represent your self . What meaning does it hold for you? Why did you choose this specific

kitchen tool?

Well the image you create , on paper comes from your subconscious feelings that you are

unaware of and has very important relevance to you. This image can have either positive

association or negative. Art therapy will help to decipher the meaning behind these

drawings, ,decipher the emotional state and uncover the hidden subconscious feelings and you can then rewire your mind and help in your healing with art therapy process in future

sessions as you explore it furthermore.
