Benefits of Becoming a Member

HHAI offers a range of membership options to prospective members seeking an association whose mission statement, code of conduct and ethical responsibilities complement their own. See here for HHAI mission statement, code of conduct, and ethical responsibilities.

Priding itself on an open door policy towards those seeking membership, HHAI offers three distinct levels of membership depending on experience and formal qualifications:

Student Membership

Student memberships are for members who are currently studying HHAI approved courses. Proof of enrolment details and/or latest assessment results are needed to confirm eligibility for this membership status.

Student Membership $30.00 $30.00

Associate Membership

Is open to any members of the public with a general interest in a holistic or natural therapy without currently studying or holding a HHAI recognised qualification. This status is ideal for those who are in the midst of fulfilling Practitioner membership requirements or simply working in the holistic health industry

Associate Membership $110.00 $70.00

Practitioner Membership

Practitioner memberships are only for those members who have completed a HHAI recognised course and have accrued 120 practical hours and/or met CPE requirements for this membership status. Practitioner members are eligible to hold office on HHAI management committee, and eligible to vote at general meetings.

Practitioner Membership $120.00 $80.00

Steps to Membership:

  1. Download our Membership Application Form, or email info@hhai.com.au requesting it

  2. Complete form and post it to HHAI PO BOX 3056 Norman Park QLD 4170. Include payment for membership level with application.

  3. HHAI will verify your training and qualifications

  4. Provided that you meet HHAI membership requirements, we will send you an official HHAI Welcome Pack; this will include your Membership certificate and Member Number. At this stage payment will be processed and your details included on our website.

Membership pack includes:

  • Your HHAI Welcome letter
  • Your HHAI Membership certificate suitable for framing
  • Your HHAI Membership number
  • A copy of our Mission Statement and Code of Conduct, including a copy of your Ethical Responsibilities
  • AON Insurance application form and literature

Conditions of Membership are as follows

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be up-to-date with membership payments - if payment lapses at renewal periods, so does membership status.
  • HHAI committee management reserve the right to reject membership application at their own discretion without any explanation
  • Membership applications are only for the set two periods shown in the membership costs tables, and costs and expiration of membership remain the same. For example, if you joined as a Practitioner Member in October you would still be required to pay the full amount of $120.00 with that membership expiring at the end of June the following year - the same as if you had joined at the beginning of that joining period in July
